My story
Hello, I’m Laura, the founder and creator at Two Green Lane. After having my daughter in 2015 I decided to take the big step of leaving my Marketing job in the corporate world and follow my passion and skills for craft and design. I set up Two Green Lane in honour of my late Grandmother who lived at Two, Green Lane in a little village in Bedfordshire. Since launching, I haven’t looked back. Every day is different and I feel blessed to be doing something I have so much passion for. In 2018 our family expanded with the arrival of our second daughter. Having 2 girls definitely keeps me on my toes but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I started my business making fine silver keepsakes featuring the hand, foot, finger and paw prints of loved ones. I then expanded to make some beautiful ready made pieces, predominantly timeless necklaces that can worn with everything and then in early in 2020 I added ashes jewellery to my range.
I make jewellery for all occasions but a lot of my work is memorial pieces, both human and pet. I am so passionate about helping people stay connected to their loved ones through jewellery. I approach every piece with sensitivity and respect and if you want it, I will be there to offer you guidance when ordering. There is no rush when deciding what you want, you can take as long as you need, I want it to be just right for you.
I do the majority of my work during the day in school hours. This enables me to carry out the school runs and support my daughters at their school events, something that wouldn’t have been possible in my old career. I find making jewellery very therapeutic and get so immersed in every piece I make. I have met so many wonderful people in the 9 years I have been running my business and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
