As a guide I ask people to allow 2 weeks from receiving ashes or prints for me to make their jewellery but I can often make it quicker. If you need it for a specific date please let me know before ordering and I will always try my best.
-
I don't sell my jewellery in any shops but I do have some wonderful local businesses and charities who tell their customers and supporters about my jewellery.

Ashes Jewellery FAQ's
-
You choose what piece of jewellery you would like. Once you have chosen that you can choose what colour you would like, whether you would like the ashes hidden or visible and any finishing touch such as glitter. If you have any questions when ordering or want to see how a particular colour combination may look then please do email me at info@twogreenlane.com and I may have photos I can send you.
-
Yes I am very honoured to work with the ashes of both people's loved ones and their pets.
-
I only need a very small amount of the ashes. A teaspoon will be plenty. Please can you send them in a sealed bag to: Two Green Lane, PO Box 1361, Maidstone, Kent. ME14 9UW. They come straight to me at home so will be nice and safe, Please post them to me however you feel comfortable. I post back any unused ashes along with your jewellery Royal Mail Tracked 48. When you send me the ashes please also add a note in there so I know they are from you. I would recommend posting them in a padded envelope as this is more secure and less likely to get damaged than a regular one. Once I receive your ashes I will let you know I have them safely.
-
My studio is based at home so I'm afraid I don't allow anyone to drop anything off directly. I do attend the Bearsted Market on the Green most months so if you check with me you may be able to hand them over there.
-
Your jewellery should be the last thing you put on in the morning and the first thing you take off at night. Do not let your jewellery come in to contact with household detergents or other chemicals and take care when spraying perfume. I would not recommend getting it wet.
Silver Print Jewellery FAQ's
-
I have a wide range of silver print jewellery to choose from. With most of my designs you can choose the shape and whether you would like a name on the front. With my heart pendant you even get to decide where the hole for the jump ring goes which alters how it hangs. I often go back and forth with people offering guidance while they decide what they want so don't ever hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
-
Please don't worry, it's much easier than you think. I send you a kit with full instructions. It contains a mess free wipe (like a baby wipe) that you wipe on the hand, foot or paw and then press down on to the paper. There should be the opportunity to take multiple prints but I only need one good one to work from. Don't worry if you have smudges as I can edit these out without altering your actual print. Once you have your prints I just need you to take a photo straight on and email it to studio@twogreenlane.com and I can start working on your jewellery.
-
I send you a putty kit with full instructions. You should end up with 2 moulds. You then need to post them back to me in the stamped envelope provided and I will start on your jewellery.
-
I normally can use existing prints. I ask that you take a photo of the prints straight on and email them to me at info@twogreenlane.com and I can confirm if I can use them. If I can then you just need to order as normal and add a comment that you already have prints so that I don't send you out a print kit.
-
Of course I can and it would be an honour to help. The kit has full instructions and the funeral directors can contact me with any questions they have. Once they have taken the prints they can return them to you for safekeeping. There is no rush to order your jewellery. The important thing is to take the prints, everything else can be done at your pace.

No. I work with fine silver. Sterling silver is also known as 925 which means it is 92.5% made of solid silver and the remaining 7.5% is made up from other harder metals which makes it fairly hard wearing. Fine silver is also known as 999 which means it is 99.9% solid silver and the remaining 0.1% is other metals. This means it is a purer but softer than sterling silver.
-
I'm afraid I only make my print jewellery in fine silver.
-
Yes I do. My specialist area with silver is working with silver clay to create print jewellery so I am most likely to be able to help you if it is a tweak on an existing design but please do ask and if I can help you I will. If I don't think it is my area expertise I will tell you as I will only take something on if I can be 100% sure that I can make it perfectly for you.
-
The way I make my jewellery I am afraid I can't engrave anything on the back. I can add a name to the front of some of my pieces. There is a limit to the number of characters depending on the space available but please do ask and I'll confirm what is possible. If you do want something on the back then if you take it to a local engravers I am sure they can help.
-
Legislation states that it is only compulsory for silver jewellery over 7.78g to be hallmarked. Pretty much all my jewellery is under this weight and so I choose not to hallmark it as it saves you money and would add an additional 2-3 weeks on to the production time. Of course if something is over the weight then I send it off to the assay office to be hallmarked. If you would like your jewellery to be hallmarked regardless of the weight then please let me know and I will confirm what the additional cost is and the increase on the lead time.
